Big news this week. I got a new cell phone Tuesday! It's the NEW Chocolate (VX8550) phone by LG (I got the black one). I've been eligible for a new phone since March, but didn't really want a new phone that much. I'd been pretty happy with my previous one and didn't really see a need to upgrade, but let me tell you, over the past two days that I've had this new phone, I've TOTALLY fallen in love with it. It's so beautiful. And it's got several cool features that bring me up to date. I never really wanted a camera phone, but this phone has one and now that I have a camera phone I'll probably never go back. It's so handy! I've already taken bunches of pictures and I love being able to set any picture as my background on my phone. Also, this phone has Bluetooth, so I can connect to wireless headsets. I've already ordered a USB cable and 4GB micro SD card off ebay and once I've got those items I'll be able to load it up with MP3s and have anything I want for my ring tones. Oh yeah, and even though the camera in the phone is only 1.3 megapixels, it's still much better than most camera phones I've seen. The pictures appear bright and clear. I love my new phone!

I've really come to like slider phones, and this phone's slide has a GREAT feel to it.

Oh yeah, and since I can set an MP3 as a ringer and I can set different MP3s for different contacts I had this cool idea that I would do for some of the people that I talk to most often. Instead of simply picking a song for my different friends, I would have them record a message for me (I have a mic in my computer) and then my phone will play that when they call. So, say my bro calls, I could play some MP3 of him talking to me. "Hey, Bra! Pick up your freakin' phone. I'm calling you right now!" The possibilities are endless!
