I got new shoes last week.

I got these bad boys at Runner's Market. They're replacing my previous pair of Brooks, which were quite worn and had an expanding hole where my right pinky toe lives. The first day I ran with them, I knocked a minute off my time from the previous run. Go new shoes.

I meant to tell you about my fantastic weekend of the 15th and 16th. Friday I went to Elkmont to camp with Ryan, Katherine, and Tanner. That was splendid. After viewing some awesome syncronized fireflies we made smores and had fun and then slept. In the morning they dropped me off at Tremont where I hung out with Woody's parents until Jenny and Woody showed up. It must be pretty cool to LIVE in Tremont. This is what's in Woody's old backyard.

Pretty sweet. And when I got to Woody's place, his mother made me pancakes! They were DELICIOUS.

In a series of most unfortunate events, while I was going on a bike ride by myself before Jenny and Woody had arrived, I accidentally ran over a butterfly. Poor thing. He was quite beautiful too.

I saw lots of other creatures on my walks and rides through Tremont. I saw probably about 6 of these guys. Some were red and some were yellow like this one.

And while I'm posting pictures, Jerm smashed his finger the other day under a really big rock. Naturally, I took a picture of it.
